This project was initiated with the proposal from Addictedloop at Contact Tokyo. The concept of this event was providing a space and time to weave east electronics musicians from Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei. IVAAIU City aimed to make the monument of these dynamic electronic music cultures from three cities. The structure was inspired by Pithoprakta, the score of Iannis Xenakis which had shown a new possibility of composing music. Based on lines, planes, spaces and lights, the monument was created. In Tokyo, the composition was made with triangular axis which symbolizes three cultures. This composition was transformed at the second installation site in Seoul. In the city, the composition changed to mono axis which symblolizes the culture of single city. This monument will be continuously developed into diverse compositions according to contexts.
